LEGAL COUNSEL CENTRAL AMERICA

Provide general legal advice for the Central America region (CACM) and meet the legal needs of the commercial affiliates, the AVD plant in Costa Rica and all service areas, such as Finance, HR, Medical, Regulatory and OEC. Identify and manage legal risks and outside counsels and report to Headquarters.

Responsibilities:
•Legal Counsel for CACM-P
•Providing legal advice to the CACM-P Region including the AVD plant, all the divisions and service areas in legal matters such as contracts, human resources, litigation (civil and criminal), competition (anti-trust), consumer, regulatory, corporate, intellectual property (patents and trademarks), compliance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and tax.
•Interface with the law firms and internal clients. Management of the outside counsels, evaluating productivity and challenging legal fees. Revision of contingencies of civil, tax and labor cases.
•Elaboration and review of strategic agreements, such as Distribution, Co-marketing, co-promotion etc., as well as review of promotional materials.
•Active participation in the policies review and elaboration processes.
•Legal direction in the launch of new products, guiding on the existence of brand and patents registration, regulations, pricing etc.
•Relate with OEC regarding the adjustment of the strategies, processes and/or procedures to the Code of Conduct and Policies.
•Attendance to the GMs, Country Managers and Directors requests and involvement in projects.
•Identify, manage legal risks.
