Transaction Skills: The candidate must possess experience and proficiency in the following:
• Understand the value proposition of a solution in the marketplace
• Identify the elements of a Price-To-Win strategy and contribute to the construction of the strategy
• Create and model a pricing structure that exploits a Price-To-Win strategy and balances the value proposition of the client with the business requirements of ACS
• Formulate commercial terms and conditions required around pricing structure
• Identify cost elements required in a given solution and gather the appropriate cost assumptions required
• Assess the operational viability and integrity of cost assumptions and develop more appropriate assumptions where needed
• Ensure the operational solution and deal economics are developed consistent with the Price-To-Win strategy
• Build a representative and integrated income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and economic analysis of a new business opportunity
• Proficient in researching and applying revenue and expense recognition accounting treatment to a new business opportunity
• Identify and communicate the commercial and operational risks and success factors in a given transaction
• Create appropriate sensitivity analysis based upon the above factors
General & Management Skills: In addition, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communications skills required to present deal structure and economics to Senior Management and crafting pricing proposals to clients
• Develop and maintain teaming relationships with Line of Business executives in operations, finance and sales
• Contribute to the new business policies, processes and procedures practiced by the Pricing group and the ACS Transportation Solutions Group
• Lead the financial modeling and deal shaping effort on several new business opportunities at a time
• Manage staffing and work load requirements of pricing personnel to successfully support new business opportunities within responsible Line of Business
• Manage deliverable expectations and requirements with participating Deal Teams
• Develop and train less experienced pricing staff
• Require little management oversight to effectively perform in this role
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Experience and Education: The ideal candidate will possess the following
• Minimum 8 years in an operational based financial role generating pro forma financials and results
• Minimum of 3 years leading commercial oriented financial projects and teams
• Working knowledge of all phases of the deal cycle including due diligence, deal generation, RFP response and proposals, negotiations and contract closing
• Finance or Accounting degree
• MBA, CPA or CFA is preferred
