The primary responsibility of the Hotel General Manager is ensure the optimal functioning of all the Hotel areas to achieve guest satisfaction and return on investment
Finances:
• Develop annual budgets; manage cost, inventory and cash flow as well as any capital improvements.
• Ensure hotel systems and back office provide timely reporting to investors.
• Manage revenue and pricing to maximize ADR and occupancy.
Operations:
• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations including Spa, F&B and tours.
• Improve operational protocol and processes to ensure property is well maintained and clean.
• Develop and implement Sustainability plan – (profits, educational opportunities, social responsibility, and environmental impact).
• Ensure guest satisfaction, client feedback and ongoing staff training.
Marketing:
• Drive new market and business developments through alliances with local businesses and the trade
• Manage marketing, publicity, PR, social media strategies as well as customer reviews
• Develop new products and services customized for hotel clients.
HR
• Lead by example and ensure staff embody the values and principals of the lodge.
• Ensure when students are on-site, the educational objectives are accomplished.
• Recruit, train and develop local team members to ensure the highest level of quality is delivered.
• Guarantee hotel operations comply with local requirements: Ministry of labor, DGI, Alcaldia, Intur, and all other governmental agencies.

• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from multiple sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
• Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data.

Education & Experience
• 5 years of hotel management experience or related field
• Proven ability to grow profitable revenues and new venture startup experience
• Degree in Hospitality, Business Management or a related field
• Experience in F&B
