Summary:
Provide overall Regional Tax and Accounting overview.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the Tax and Accounting process and its execution in the region according to the policies set forth by the Corporate Office.
• Month End Close, reviewing and analyzing the transactions booked in the Financial Statements.
• Review monthly reconciliations (Balance Sheet and P&L accounts), for accounting reclassifications, propose adjustments and accruals.
• Oversee and support to the local accountants in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama.
• Follow up to make sure the local accounting books are up to date according to the terms established by local tax laws.
• Review of the Tax Returns on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis related to Value Added Tax, Income Tax, Municipal Taxes and other taxes related with the businesses of the companies in the region.
• Attend monthly phone calls related to Accounting and Tax matters.
• Prepare reports as requested by Regional Finance Manager.
• Provide support to Internal and External Auditors with their requirements of information
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
• Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years accounting and tax experience in Multinational companies.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English and Spanish.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS

Language Skills:
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents in both Spanish and English.

• Must be able to travel local and internationally as business required (minimum 50% travel)
