Summary/Objective
The Strategic Business Partner position is responsible for aligning Business objectives with Employees and Management in designated Business Units.
The Strategic Business Partner serves as a consultant to Management on Strategy, Performance & Talent Management resources-related issues.
The successful Strategist Business Partner will act as an employee champion and change agent and is responsible for various company-wide initiatives including but not limited to Training, Performance Management, Compensation, Career Development and Management Development.
Communicating needs proactively with our Strategy, Performance and Talent Management Centers of Excellence and Business Management, the Strategic Business Partner seeks to develop integrated solutions.
The Strategic Business Partner formulates partnerships across the Strategy, Performance & Talent Management function to deliver value-added service to Management and Employees that reflect the Business objectives of the Organization.
The Strategic Business Partner maintains an effective level of business literacy about the Business Unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
Responsibilities
1. Partner with Business Leaders to develop and implement Strategy, Talent & Performance Management plans and solutions in order to achieve Strategic Business initiatives and deliver results.
2. Partner with the Business on Organizational Design, Succession Planning, and Skills Assessment.
3. Partner with Managers to retain, develop and motivate people to achieve their fullest potential.
4. Review and analyze Business Unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve Performance, Retention, and Employee experience.
5. Provide Management coaching to build Leadership capabilities.
6. Partner with Strategy, Talent & Performance Management Center of Excellence to support business unit initiatives
7. Assess Business Unit’s Training needs.
8. Implement/administer/interpret Corporate Policies, Programs and Procedures.
9. Work with Business groups to assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of Employee Engagement initiatives.
10. Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.

Qualifications
• Strategic and operational talent management expertise.
• Knowledge of talent identification and talent development.
• Knowledge of and experience with assessment and competency models and performance management tools.
• Experience with integrated talent management processes, systems, resources and tools.
• Experience in the development & delivery of trainings.
• Experience managing performance.
• Knowledge of current trends in talent and performance management processes.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and project management skills
• Pulls together information from a variety of sources in a user-friendly, business driven manner.
• Must have the ability to eliminate roadblocks and improve processes for successful execution.
• Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Builds and maintains credibility at all levels throughout the organization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills (Non-managerial to executive) and presentation skills.
• Creative mindset, proactive, resourceful, resilient - focuses on continuous improvement.
• Ability to coach managers & supervisors.
• Understanding of how to grow and develop leaders.
• Proven ability to successfully work as a team member to build and maintain a positive work environment.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the Business Unit.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
