Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own, monitor and maintain all technology utilized to facilitate 3rd party integrations including Linux-based systems, VPN, SFTP, API and other standard connectivity technologies
• Communicates and interacts directly with all Xoom partners to establish and test new/existing connectivity and key business workflow expectations
• A requirement of working a variable schedule from time to time
• Serve as a resource for Field Services PM to assist with resolution of any connectivity issues and participate in the engineering of
• Maintains and collaborates thorough documentation of key projects
• Ensures agreed upon standards of test criteria and results are met
• Collaborate with peers in the evaluation, testing, planning, design, and implementation of secure and scalable Xoom 3rd party infrastructure and
network integration systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve all partner business workflow performance and availability issues around custom connectivity and business workflows
• Work directly with engineering to identify requirements and engineer technical infrastructure solutions to satisfy those requirements
• Take on and manage key projects which directly support the onboarding of all new Xoom partner integrations
• Build tools and monitors

Requirements:

• Excellent communication
• Ability to create and document processes
• Experience working in an AWS and private cloud infrastructure
• Networking Experience (Cisco, Juniper, VPC)
• Comfortable supporting Firewalls, Routers, and Switches
• Understanding of VLANs, Subnets, VPC, ACLs, Whitelist
• Basic Systems Experience (Linux)
• Project Management Experience (Agile and Sprints)
• Comfortable working with customer facing partners
• Experience w/puppet, chef and other automation tools a plus
• Experience with key monitoring systems (Nagios, cacti, etc.) a plus
• Experience operating in a virtualized environment a plus
• Hands on experience with AWS or other public Cloud-related technologies and tools (S3, Elastic Load Balancer, Redis, etc.) a plus
• Experience implementing and/or supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure and cloud automation via APIs a HUGE plus!
• Comfortable in 24x7 operations, you are experienced in the operations environment and capable of dealing with incidents and performing on-call shift rotations
• Understanding of IT security practices and ensuring key system controls and cadence are in place

• Strong sense of ownership and drive

Background:

• 3+ years experience with Network and Linux system administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication ability
• Desire to learn new skills

Education:

• MS or BS in computer science or EE or equivalent knowledge and experience
