To support this mission, we are seeking a Director of Operations — a strategic, people-focused leader who can drive performance, operational excellence, and client satisfaction.
Location: Guatemala (must reside within 80 km of the Guatemala City Hub)
Role Overview
The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role at Athena, responsible for overseeing a team of Client Partnership Managers (CPMs) and ensuring world-class service across all client relationships. This role leads key strategic initiatives, focused on enhancing client experiences, improving operational efficiency, and upholding high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead, coach, and guide CPMs to align with Athena’s goals and deliver consistent, high-impact service.
- Quality and Compliance Oversight: Collaborate with the Quality team to maintain top-tier service standards in all client interactions.
- Execution of Strategic Initiatives: Design and implement action plans that improve operational workflows and client outcomes.
- Client Relationship Management: Monitor client satisfaction and partnership health, serving as an escalation point for complex issues and preventing potential churn.
- Performance Management: Track KPIs, analyze operational data, and ensure all teams meet or exceed performance goals.

What We’re Looking For
- Strategic Leadership: Proven experience leading high-performing teams and driving operational success.
- Senior-Level Communication & Coaching: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and elevate senior staff.
- Client Relationship Expertise: Track record of managing complex client interactions and retaining strategic partnerships.
- Analytical Thinking: Data-driven mindset with the ability to make informed decisions based on key performance metrics.
- Intentional Leadership: Committed to team development, accountability, and long-term growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Master’s degree or MBA highly preferred
- 7–10 years of experience in senior leadership roles within service-oriented organizations
- Strong background in strategic planning, quality assurance, and operational process improvement

- Directly responsible for approximately 10 Client Partnership Managers (CPMs)
