Role Purpose:
Design and implement strategies that position the NGO in Guatemala as a trusted and leading organization in matters related to child protection and well-being, ensuring effective execution of all actions derived from these strategies. The role also aims to strengthen strategic relationships with key partners to drive advocacy and mobilization initiatives in favor of Guatemalan children.

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the redesign, implementation, and monitoring of the national advocacy strategy focused on the development and enforcement of public policies that contribute to the protection and well-being of children in Guatemala.
- Ensure the strategic development of child protection and participation, coordinating efforts with various national sectors (government, churches, NGOs, and others) to guarantee the welfare of children within the organization’s areas of operation.
- Guarantee compliance with the organization’s minimum child protection standards at all levels.
- Provide technical assistance to National Offices (NOs), Area Offices (AOs), and Area Development Programs (ADPs) to ensure effective implementation of advocacy and Christian engagement processes at both national and community levels.
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships with child-focused organizations, churches, faith-based institutions, and other relevant entities to influence their agendas and achieve real impact in public policies benefiting Guatemalan children.

Preferred Academic Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Law, Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, Communication for Development, or related fields.

Key Competencies:
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Experience in advocacy, policy development, or social impact projects.
- Deep commitment to child rights, protection, and community transformation.
