Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Manager located in Guatemala City. The Information Technology Manager will oversee the IT department, manage IT projects, and ensure the integrity and security of the company's systems and infrastructure. Daily tasks include developing IT strategies, implementing technology solutions, managing staff, troubleshooting technical issues, deploying and keeping track of equipment, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The manager will work closely with other departments to support and integrate IT solutions effectively.
Qualifications
Experience in IT operations, project management and strategic planning
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system integration
B2+ English level
Experience in the contact center industry is required
Skills in troubleshooting, technical support, and maintaining IT infrastructure
Proficiency in managing a team and effective communication skills
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements in the technology sector
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus
Core Technical Infrastructure & Network Expertise On-Prem/Cloud Administration & Orchestration:
Proficiency in managing traditional data centers (servers, storage, virtualization with VMware/Hyper-V) alongside cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). "Orchestration" implies using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes to automate deployment and management.
Telecom & Network Infrastructure: Deep understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN) and telecommunications for both data and voice (VoIP, SIP trunking).
Global WAN Management: Experience designing, supporting, and troubleshooting a Wide Area Network that connects offices and data centers across different countries. This is critical for ensuring reliable voice and data traffic globally.
