The Contract Accounting Center provides the company with subject matter experts for capabilities across industries for an accurate and efficient accounting review of contracts. Members of the team are in charge of reviewing and approving (if applicable) incoming contracts, and providing revenue recognition instructions and documentation aligned with company policies.

Duties and responsibilities

• To review assigned deals
o Read contract documents that may include a model, a contract and a deal deck plus any other relevant information, to determine if the contract clearly and favorably states all the language needed to be able to recognize revenue appropriately and timely.
• To interact with other internal customers
o During the review, the team member will attend calls, respond emails, provide suggestions for language (contingent legal) and be in constant interaction with representatives from finance, sales, operations, etc until the deal is approved for accounting, executed and distributed.
o After distribution, the team member continues to be the accounting point of contact for any support needed from other teams during the life of the contract.
• To prepare contract documents
o During the review a Contract Accounting Summary is prepared which includes the most relevant information about the contract as well as revenue recognition instructions.
o After execution and based on Chief Accountant’s guidelines, it is required to prepare Gross vs Net Questionnaires, Contract Accounting Questionnaires and Contract Accounting Memos as applicable.
• To comply with policies and regulation, and alert of any violations
o All of the approvals and instructions issued must be in compliance with company policies.
o It is the responsibility of the team member to alert the indicated contact of any breach on SOX regulations, or company policies or procedures, such as incomplete packages, signatures processed before reviews, and others as instructed.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree
• US GAAP knowledge preferred not required
• Multi-tasking, efficiency, organization
• High English level
• Ability to communicate effectively and ssertively
• Professional Certification: CPA preferred
• Experience: in the accounting field
