Role Overview:
Operational Compliance is an independent and objective assurance and support activity that conducted to provide added value and improve operations for the client (Cash Applications Services). It assists in ensuring objectives are met by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving effectiveness of the compliance and internal control.
The Operational Compliance team, with strict accountability to the engagement’s Senior Management, is authorized full and unobstructed access to all of the records, physical working space and personnel pertinent to carrying out any of the team’s responsibilities.
Organization
The Operational Compliance team manager will report directly to the Engagement Director.
The Operational Compliance team manager will communicate and interact regularly with Engagement Directors.
Independence and Objectivity
The Operational Compliance activity will remain free from interference by any element in the engagement, including matters of determining which operational processes to assess for delivery assurance, the scope of delivery assurance activities, and timing of delivery assurance activities and content of reporting on delivery assurance activities.
Responsibility:
The scope of Delivery Assurance for the engagement encompasses, but is not limited to, the examination and evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization’s internal controls and quality of performance in relation to its goals and objectives. This includes:
- Creating and completing HIPAA compliance training for new joiners or rehires in order to achieve the appropriate level of compliance.
- Renewing all HIPAA trainings for all Capgemini resources assigned to support Lincare activities on a yearly basis.
- Presenting an annual training schedule for the following year to the appropriate Lincare compliance manager for review.
- Supporting change management for any change in process and procedure relating to HIPAA or any other regulation cascaded by the client.
- Providing oversight for any key operational training required relating to operational process changes in order to review impact on HIPAA regulations and confirm training procedure adherence.
- Establish and administer a process, documentation.
- Audit that all employees supporting the engagement have signed and submitted the appropriate Non-Disclosure agreement required by the client.
- Perform random quarterly sample audits to validate HIPAA control adherence and HIPAA minimum knowledge requirement of all employees.
- Present executive dashboard during quarterly steering committee meetings that include a summary of any potential risks or incidents.
- Provide a quarterly report on processes and activities performed by the Compliance Team including the findings and actions taken in accordance with the desktop procedures.
- Support delivery assurance by auditing critical components of Capgemini’s delivery controls.
- Support an operational quality program for client activities by completing periodic quality reviews on any calls, offline work, email communication, and processing work to validate results and develop action plans to improve scores.
