SharePoint / ServiceNow Engineer
Job Summary:
Provide design, support, administration, configuration, and development of SharePoint Sites and ServiceNow ITSM Tooling. Gather user requirements and assist with the development of web applications, sites and communications accessed from the SharePoint portals. Recommend updates and enhancements to SharePoint sites along with any related tools and supplemental web parts used throughout the production life cycle. Provide day to day maintenance, troubleshooting and support.
Responsibilities:
Support, configure, and develop the SharePoint and ServiceNow environments
Maintain and administer SharePoint and ServiceNow services, including search, content and workflows
Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and sites
Manage SharePoint and ServiceNow end user accounts, permissions and access rights in accordance with best practices regarding privacy
Support end users with all SharePoint and ServiceNow related issues
Develop training materials and provide training to users with varying levels of experience
Assist with software development project plans and implementation.
Assist with efficient implementation of new software products, tools or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.
Assist with software improvements
Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with the SharePoint and ServiceNow framework and sites as required
Enhance SharePoint and Servicenow functionality and/or performance
Generate website statistics and reports as needed, using custom or packaged solutions
Provide 24/7 /365 support for production SharePoint and ServiceNow systems
Monitor and complete SharePoint and ServiceNow requests and incident resolution.
Skills/Competencies:
Experience with SharePoint 2007/2010/2013/2016 and 365 fundamentals including out of the box web parts, lists, content types, workflows, templates and master
Experience with ServiceNow fundamentals including out of the box web parts, lists, content types, workflows, templates and master
Understanding of SharePoint administration including web applications, site collections, web sites, and service applications
Experience using SharePoint Designer
Understanding of lnfoPath forms development
Solid working knowledge of current t technologies, including .Net Service Communication applications.
Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
Experience developing test cases and test plans.
Candidate must have good English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to independently interact with other staff and managers. Must also be able to communicate effectively with non-technical users. Experience in training and/or teaching software applications is a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must. The ability to work in a fast-paced regulated environment is desired
