SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing the physical movement of inbound and outbound land, ocean and air shipments is responsible for all distribution functions including shipments to both domestic and international customers, distribution centers, warehouses and offices within the same or multiple companies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the management of the daily operation of inventory, warehousing functions, and the physical facilities of multiple warehouses. Provide efficient and cost effective shipping and receiving of customers' freight. Direct, train, and coordinate the activities of warehouse persons. Meet revenue and cost containment budget levels. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that operational service offering meets customers requirements. Focus on growing existing markets and new business development. Responsible for one or more of the following: Pricing and/or the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments (Transportation Management/NVOCC). Responsible for multiple operations functions such as Intermodal, Trucking and Equipment Control.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Business, Transportation or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
5 - 10 years of domestic and/or international transportation experience, with experience/knowledge in areas such as warehousing , ocean, land /air/freight forwarding or NVOCC area. 3 - 5 years experience in a supervisory or management position.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to train and direct the activities of others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.

OTHER:
Bilingual (English/Spanish). Knowledge of U.S. transportation, DOT regulations and import/export regulations.
