Operational Excellence & Compliance:

Oversee and coordinate all physical security operations, including the management of third-party security providers for facilities and in-transit merchandise.
Conduct regular audits of security controls, processes, and contingency plans to ensure compliance with company standards and contractual obligations.
Manage the regional implementation and maintenance of electronic security systems, including access control and CCTV.
Develop and maintain robust incident response and crisis management plans, ensuring readiness and effective communication during security-related events.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:

Serve as the primary security advisor and liaison to local and regional leadership, ensuring security programs support business objectives.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national law enforcement agencies and other relevant government bodies.
Provide executive protection coordination for personnel traveling within Central America.
Represent the company at security-focused forums and organizations, such as the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and OSAC, to stay abreast of regional trends and foster professional networks.

Team Leadership & Development:

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to all personnel with security responsibilities in the region.
Manage the performance and service delivery of third-party security vendors, conducting periodic reviews and implementing corrective action plans as needed.

What do you need for this position:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Criminal Justice, International Relations) or equivalent professional experience.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate security, risk management, military or police experience.
At least 2 years in a management or people manager position.
