Responsibilities
• Processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded such as: Payroll, prepaid expenses, bank movements, taxes, accruals, intercompany charges and others.
• Maintains accounting records of subsidiary branches using balance sheet analysis and general ledger accounts
• Prepare and process Journal entries to correct accounting errors and process journal entries adjustments
• Reconcile balance accounts and receivable accounts (credit card payments)
• Keeping close track of accounts receivable in a weekly basis
• Analyze Accounting information
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Assist Accountants from International offices
• Assist International offices with Internal, External and Government audits when is needed
• Analyze financial and accounting information
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Assist Senior accountants in the preparation of month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and internal accounting policies

Requirements
• Proven experience as accountant or senior accountant in multinational companies
• Excellent organizing abilities
• Great attention to detail
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Awareness of business trends
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like JDEdwards or other ERPs
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Availability to work overtime as needed
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
• CPA-Certified Public Accountant will be preferred
